The principle of alkaline degreasing for aluminium profiles

    In the surface pretreatment of aluminum extrusion profile, using alkaline degreasing is a traditional process. Aluminium profiles are susceptible to corrosion by alkaline solutions, therefore, a less concentrated alkaline solution can be used for surface degreasing and cleaning.
     An overly strong alkaline degreasing solution may cause uneven corrosion on the surface of aluminium profiles window and door, as it tends to corrode the clean surfaces of the aluminium construction profile more rapidly, while the corrosion rate is slower on surfaces with grease, which could potentially lead to the appearance of cleaning streaks on the surface of the aluminium profiles.
     The principle behind alkaline degreasing is that the alkali reacts chemically with the grease, producing a soluble solution, thereby achieving the goal of eliminating grease on the surface of the aluminium profile. Through this treatment process, it is possible to further remove dirt from the surface of the aluminium profiles and completely eliminate the natural oxide film on the Industrial aluminum profile surface.
